Transfer directly for "Burma Border Crossing & Mae Kong River"
Cross the Sai river into Myanmar – Burma and witness local Burmese life in nearby village. Rickshaw await here to take visitor’s to explore a Shan style temple, home for young novice monks. After, ride around town through lanes and side streets of Tachilek. Ending at a local market for shopping
Lunch at local restaurant
Next stop is the Golden Triangle – centre for opium trade. From here view the splendor of the mighty Mae Kong joining the Ruak and forming the “triangle” with Laos, Burma and Thailand. Enjoy boat trip on Mae Khong River.

Breakfast at the hotel
"Laos Border Crossing, Golden Triangle, & Mae Kong River" Tour
Tours depart Golden Triangle to Chiang Saen exploring ruins in Ancient City and Baan Kiuw Karn, the White Hmong tribe. Later, a stop is made at Chiang Kong, famous for the sighting of giant catfish-though this is seasonal.
Lunch at local restaurant.
Then cross the border by boat across to Laos – Tha Buck’. A visit is made to Lantan hilltribe providing tourist a glimpse of village life. The journey continues to visit a Sphire Mine and return to visit Huay Sai Market for shopping.
Return to Thailand and transfer to the hotel
Dinner and accommodation.

Depart to Chiang Mai
Enroute, visit Karen Hilltribes (Long Neck)
Tour starts from the hotel and transported to the long tail boat pier. Speeding up the Mae Kok River bathe with unusual sights on both sides. You arrive at the Karen Hilltribes village. Here lies the elephant camp. Historically Karen has always been Elephant Keeper/Trainer. Enjoy your ride through jungle trek, passing through padifields and rivers. This ride takes about 1 hour. Continue river cruise adventurous path of the Kok River. There will be another stop at the Lahu hilltribe village where you will disembark on your river cruise. The car await for next point at The Karen Hilltribes (Long Neck People) only used to be found in Mae Hon Son. Their womenfolk are adorned with heavy brass necklaces at a very young age to lengthen their necks. Women with long necks are considered to be the village great beauty. Now, they have settled in a small group in a village. You will have a chance to visit their village and watch them weave cloth, and skills they are re-known for. The visit to the Akha tribe, allow visitor’s to sample village of the lives of the Akha, who originated from Tibet and are among the poorest of Thailand’s ethnic minorities. Lunch stop is at Tha Ton a strategic boat landing point between Burma and Thailand.Then travel through Fang and Chiang Dao before arriving at Hmong Hilltribe Lodge. Stay overnight in the Meo style bungalows and enjoybarbecue dinner with hilltribe dancing.

Travel to the Elephant Camp this morning and watch elephants carrying timber in the forest. Their strength and clever team work will amaze you. (Then join an hour- long elephant safari into the jungle – optional extra-payable locally). Visit the Orchid Farm before lunch. Then head towards Chiang Mai for tours of the handicraft villages. |

City & Temples including Doi Suthep Tour
Visit the oldest temples in Chiang Mai and drive through many different parts of the northern capital, passing residential areas, notable foreign establishments, stylish government building. THAPAE is the main street and shopping center and three temples: Chedee Luang temple where the Emerald Buddha was once enshrined; Phrasingh temple with a 1,500 year-old Buddha image, and Suandok temple where the ashes of Chiang Mai’s Royal Family are interred.
Next visit Doi Suthep, reached by a Naga (dragon-headed serpent) staircase of 306 steps. The less energetic will be pleased to know that there is a cable car up the hill on a clear day the panoramic views of the city from the temple grounds are truly spectacular.
